1 Samuel 18:12 The Anointing & The Anointed

1 Samuel 18:12

And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.

It seems strange that we can't recognize the anointing until its gone.  We see it on others but do not recognize God upon ourselves.

Fear had taken over Saul. His imagination was wicked. He knew God was with David. He tried to kill David, but he could not. When the anointing is upon us we Will do great exploits. When the anoiting leaves, we are left alone to the fear of our imagination.

Isaiah 41:12 It's No Small Matter

Isaiah 41:12

Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

It is a good thing to know that God is on our side. Stop playing games with me. Stop trying to destroy me. Stop trying to bring me down. You have chosen the side of the Enemy of God and God will deal with you accordingly.  Korah railed against Moses along with his followers and families. And to Korah it seemed like a small thing. Moses said to the followers, all of those that are on Korah's side go over to the left, and all of those that are on the Lord's side go to the right. For all of those who contended with Moses were swallowed up by the earth.

Isaiah 41:10 Do Not Be Afraid

Isaiah 41:10

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The promise of God by the word of God are sure. He makes us to know by his word that he is with us and that he will give us strength when we are in need of strength.

How will he do it?

By his right hand of his righteousness.  By virtue of the fact that he is righteous and he is God. His is God and he cannot lie and will not lie.

Put to rest your fear. Don't be like an animal of prey that freezes when faced by a predator. He gives us safety in the time of trouble. He gives us refuge from the storm and rain. This is a promise to hold on to.

Psalm 7.1.KJV Save Me Lord

PSA7.1.KJV

O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
They surround every day hoping for my demise. When given the chance they taunt me and persecute me.

Many times I am left looking like the animal of low degree.
It has been my mistake to trust them. They were character assassins. They were dream killers. They were just bad for my health. Oh Lord, deliver me from them as you have in the past. My hope and safety is in you. Down the road give me the ability to see them before they come close. Teach me how to avoid them. Teach me to find safety in you.

Jeremiah 33:7-9 God Restores

Jeremiah 33:7-9 The Message Bible

7 I’ll restore everything that was lost to Judah and Jerusalem. I’ll build everything back as good as new.
8 I’ll scrub them clean from the dirt they’ve done against me. I’ll forgive everything they’ve done wrong, forgive all their rebellions.
9 And Jerusalem will be a center of joy and praise and glory for all the countries on earth. They’ll get reports on all the good I’m doing for her. They’ll be in awe of the blessings I am pouring on her

One of the sweetest messages of the bible is the message of restoration. It lets us know that God brings his children back to the point of being brand new, not only his children, but his churches, anything of his that has had any form of devastation upon it.

In applying this scripture to us, God is saying, anything that the enemy has robbed from us he will restore. As a child, I started out innocent, free from any knowledge of evil. I ran and played with such freedom. My environment seemed more colorful, everything seemed brighter. My parents made sure that I had all that I needed. Alone came life, or I should say, the enemy of life, to take all that was good to me away. Emotional happiness, security, joy, peace, innocence and some material things were taken. Where is the abundance of life promised through the word of God, all taken by the “enemy of life”. Some things just shouldn’t happen to us, but they do. In all that we go through it seems like that time stands still.

God says…I will restore God says …I will forgive. There is hope for all that has been lost or taken away. Do we hope in the words of people or do we hope in God’s word?

Father I pray this day that everyone that has been devastated be restored, in health, in relationship, in finances, in peace, in hope, in self-esteem in all that was robbed from them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

To those that have lost your jobs.

 God will restore them.

Micah 7:7 Waiting On God

Micah 7:7
Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

I really love the last clause of this scripture verse. It says God will hear me. We have an audience with God. He is the God who created all things, who can create a new story from an old situation or circumstance. He is a God that can create in me a clean heart and renew the spirit within me. Therefore I will look unto the Lord because I know better things are ahead. I know that he will be my hero and save the day.
It does not say just hears us. It suggests that God takes an active part in listening to our plea. He will weigh in on our request. He will weigh our judgment with goodness mercy and grace. I will anticipate his answer. It is better to look to God rather that look and consult with your problems. Problems can only give your more problems and not solutions. Waiting is a problem for many, but for this writer it is the anticipation of the answer.

Isaiah 50:4 The Listener

ISAIAH 50:4

The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
New International Version (©2011)

One of the first things we learn about God is that he is sovereign. He does what he wants when he wants and is justified in what he does. He does not violate any of his laws. He abides within the Laws that he constructed for all. Now there has to be laws that we not are aware of. There has to be knowledge that he has and that we are not aware of. Are there things that tie his hands concerning us?
As there must be things that tie as well as loose his hands also. Our lives and ways must be of great concern seeing that we are his creation. So he gives us teachers and instructors who speak through those whom he has instructed. They speak as God's ambassadors.
There are many people building themselves as apostles and they have no idea to what that entails.
They will never reach to teach the unlearned. They are only obsessed with the things they build for themselves.

When God establishes those who speak the things of God, they will instruct and be well concerned as to what has been taught and what has been learned.
They have an ear for instruction. In fact they wait on God during prayer and listen for the instruction of the Lord. They listen as one who is instructed, or as we say one who will be tested on what has been said.

Psalms 27:8 I Seek Your Face

Psalms 27:8

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
We have relationship.

We have communion.

We have fellowship.

You say look into my face and see if I approve. Seek me!

I look with all my heart, my mind, my body, and my soul. I meditate on your word, for in your word, I can hear your voice. In your word, I can see your eyes. In your word, I find your will. I come to you boldly but with a gentle spirit.

Not only do I look, but I listen. I listen for the sound of your voice. Sometimes your voice is still and small. Your voice is at times like the voice of many waters. When I pray, I talk but I must listen. Many have missed you by filling the air with their own words. I don’t want to do that.

There are times when you are quiet. It is during those times when I must trust you, by staying close to you, by song, by praise, by study. To just speak my love for you is where it begins and end.

Yes Lord, seeking your face is more than any earthly relationship.

I seek your face!

Proverbs 30:5 A Word Just For You

Proverbs 30:5

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Have you ever doubted God's word?

Whether it came direct or indirect,
Whether it came from the written word,
Whether it came to you in a still small voice,
Whether it came from the servant of God,
Whether it came by storm or calm
Whether it came from an angel,
Whether it came from God himself,

It is tried trusted and true. It is without defilement.

When we are given a word from God it is designed just for us. It will fit us like a glove. It will wear like a custom made suit. There will be no room for fear, doubt or unbelief. God has design it just for us with the purpose of taking us from beginning to end.

Despite our flaws,

Idiosyncrasies, shortcomings, blemishes, failings or imperfections.

His word is sure.

We must trust him to protect his own. His word is that directive from heaven. It has an earthly destination with a heavenly outcome. That which is spoken in heaven is done here on earth. His will be done.
