Jeremiah 33:7-9 The Message Bible
7 I’ll restore everything that was lost to Judah and Jerusalem. I’ll build
everything back as good as new.
8 I’ll scrub them clean from the dirt they’ve done against me. I’ll forgive
everything they’ve done wrong, forgive all their rebellions.
9 And Jerusalem will be a center of joy and praise and glory for all the
countries on earth. They’ll get reports on all the good I’m doing for her.
They’ll be in awe of the blessings I am pouring on her
One of the sweetest messages of the bible is the message of restoration. It
lets us know that God brings his children back to the point of being brand new,
not only his children, but his churches, anything of his that has had any form
of devastation upon it.
In applying this scripture to us, God is saying, anything that the enemy has
robbed from us he will restore. As a child, I started out innocent, free from
any knowledge of evil. I ran and played with such freedom. My environment
seemed more colorful, everything seemed brighter. My parents made sure that I
had all that I needed. Alone came life, or I should say, the enemy of life, to
take all that was good to me away. Emotional happiness, security, joy, peace,
innocence and some material things were taken. Where is the abundance of life
promised through the word of God, all taken by the “enemy of life”. Some things
just shouldn’t happen to us, but they do. In all that we go through it seems
like that time stands still.
God says…I will restore God says …I will forgive. There is hope for all that
has been lost or taken away. Do we hope in the words of people or do we hope in
God’s word?
Father I pray this day that everyone that has been devastated be restored,
in health, in relationship, in finances, in peace, in hope, in self-esteem in
all that was robbed from them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
To those that have lost your jobs.
God will restore them.
